Come celebrate Shabbat in the Adirondacks! Our annual Adirondack Shabbat features a brief service al fresco, picnic lunch, and a swim in a beautiful secluded pond. Bring a bag lunch, water bottle, bathing suit and towel, bug spray and sun screen. We will meet at the trailhead at 10:30am, about an hour and a quarter drive from Saratoga Springs.
On Saturday, August 12, we will enjoy an Adirondack Shabbat at Crane Mountain. The climb is about a mile, challenging but great for the energetic and physically fit, and takes 45 minutes to an hour and a half. There is a lovely pond near the top of the mountain where we can picnic and swim. Directions: North on I-87 to Exit 23 – Warrensburg. Turn left at the exit, right on Rt. 9. Follow Rt. 9 north through Warrensburg. About 2 miles past town, turn left on Rt. 28 toward Wevertown. After about 11 miles, at Wevertown, turn left on Rt. 8 at a traffic light. Go 1.8 miles, up a hill, take a left on Garnet Lake Rd. Go 4.7 miles to Crane Mountain Road on the left. Turn left here and pull over to the side of the road to wait for everyone to arrive before proceeding to the trailhead.
