Each year Temple Sinai prepares and serves Christmas Day Dinner for the EOC Soup Kitchen at The Presbyterian New England Congregational Church on Circular Street. Also included in our Christmas Day mitzvah is a dinner for twelve given to Wellspring (formerly the Domestic Violence/Rape Crisis Center). This year our School is getting involved in this mitzvah and will be collecting children’s and women’s socks and tights, look for the boxes marked Box for Socks in each classroom. An additional request from Carol Schupp-Starr is for any school kids to decorate paper bags with holiday decorations and fill with candy that can be given to those at the dinner.
When we hold this holiday event, we fondly remember our good friend, Glenn Star, who devoted endless time and energy to Saratoga’s EOC Soup Kitchen. For more about how you can help, please  click here for our signup.
The Torah Study Group has setup a wool sock drive (collection box will be in the parlor) to collect wool socks to give out to those in need during the Annual Christmas Day Dinner.
