Tikkun Leil Shavuot

At 8:00 p.m. we’re heading to Congregation Shaara Tfille where Rabbi Marmon and Rabbi Katz are going to lead a joint study session.

The custom of the “Tikkun Leil Shavuot,” the all-night study session, is believed to have begun on account of a new foreign import to northern Israel in 1528. It was coffee!

Our two congregations will be observing Shavuot together. It would be nice to have a good showing from Temple Sinai and we hope you can make it. Rabbi Marmon will be speaking about the front and back of God – what we see – and Rabbi Katz will be leading a lesson/discussion on the Rabbinic conception of human beauty, the subject of his Rabbinic thesis.
