Tisha B’Av Observance
Tisha B’Av (Ninth of Av) is the fast day in our tradition for mourning the destruction of the First and Second Temples (as well as other tragedies), the experience of exile, and the devastation that these events wrought upon the Jewish people. The evening of Tisha B’Av falls this year on Saturday night, August 6. Our community observance will begin at 8pm and will include songs, poetry, and reflections on the theme of exile, concluding with Havdalah at 9pm. RSVPs required.
