Temple Sinai is participating this weekend in HIAS Refugee Shabbat, when congregations, organizations, and individuals in the United States and around the world dedicate a Shabbat experience to consideration of refugees and asylum seekers. This annual event has taken on new urgency in recent days with the invasion of Ukraine. We will learn about the work HIAS does on behalf of refugees, find out what we can do to support them, and hear special prayers and readings at our Friday evening service on Zoom and our Shabbat B’Yachad in-person service on Saturday morning. Find out more, including a link to donating to the Ukraine Crisis Fund, at www.hias.org.
