Slice of Heaven Bakery
Ways to be involved:
- Volunteer to bake, or make deliveries
- Invite friends to join our list and order

Temple Sinai’s Women’s Group, called Miriam’s Well, is a multi-generational group of women dedicated to family, synagogue and community. Members participate in a mix of religious, educational and social endeavors throughout the year. The mission is to create a strong social community, work on an outside community project, and help Temple Sinai in various ways. We currently provide the gift of a personalized kiddush cup to all B’Nai Mitzvah and organize the High Holy Day Onegs.
The mission of Havurah Vatik is to provide Jewish seniors, ages 55 and older, opportunities for socialization, intellectual stimulation, and entertainment in warm and caring settings that celebrate Jewish life. The program, which is sponsored by Temple Sinai and meets at Congregation Shaara Tfille, is open to all Saratoga area Jewish seniors. It is primarily funded by a grant from the Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York.
Havurah Vatik events are held on the third Tuesday of the month from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, with an interesting speaker or entertainer, followed by a delicious catered lunch, and an opportunity to socialize. There is no charge for attendance, but a voluntary donation is requested. Monthly Soup Kitchen
On the 4th Sunday of every month volunteers from Temple Sinai provide a lasagna dinner at the LifeWorks Community Action Soup Kitchen, housed in the Presbyterian-United Church of Christ at 24 Circular Street in Saratoga.
Gathering at 2pm to serve the meal from 3-4pm. Each volunteer brings a lasagna that feeds about 12 people. The lasagna does not have to be homemade, but it does need to be hot.
