Adult Programs
Temple Sinai’s adult education offerings range from Hebrew language instruction and Torah/Talmud study to challah baking and Jewish viewpoints on contemporary issues. Programs are held throughout the year. Call the Temple at (518) 584- 8730 to learn more.
Miriam’s Well
Temple Sinai’s Women’s Group, called Miriam’s Well, is a multi-generational group of women dedicated to family, synagogue and community. Members participate in a mix of religious, educational and social endeavors throughout the year. The mission is to create a strong social community, work on an outside community project, and help Temple Sinai in various ways. We currently provide the gift of a personalized kiddush cup to all B’Nai Mitzvah and organize the High Holy Day Onegs.
Brotherhood
Temple Sinai’s brotherhood group has recently been established with a mission to serve our congregation and community.
Havurah Vatik
The mission of Havurah Vatik is to provide Jewish seniors, ages 55 and older, opportunities for socialization, intellectual stimulation, and entertainment in warm and caring settings that celebrate Jewish life. The program, which is sponsored by Temple Sinai and meets at Congregation Shaara Tfille, is open to all Saratoga area Jewish seniors. It is primarily funded by a grant from the Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York.
Havurah Vatik events are held on the third Tuesday of the month from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, with an interesting speaker or entertainer, followed by a delicious catered lunch, and an opportunity to socialize. There is no charge for attendance, but a voluntary donation is requested. Monthly Soup Kitchen
On the 4th Sunday of every month from 2pm-4pm Tempel Sinai hosts a lasagna dinner at the EOC soup kitchen. (Take out only until further notice) The soup kitchen is housed at the New England Presbyterian church on Circular St. Anyone interested in donating food or helping can contact Wendy Zeh at wzeh@icloud.com.
